EP02: Advanced Tips for Caring Hair Extensions [Styling]

Styling:

  • Apply heat protectant to shield hair from heat damage.
  • Do not exceed the medium heat setting.
  • Use a wire brush or boar bristle brush.
  • Use hair oil consistently. Our scalp only produces enough natural oils for our natural hair, so you will need to supplement with a hair serum to allow continued moisture for your extensions.
  • Avoid Frequent Heat Styling. Constantly using straighteners or curlers can lead to severe hair damage. It is best not to use heat styling tools too often, especially if you have hair extensions in place. If you need heat to create a particular hairstyle, apply a heat protectant spray or serum first. Use the lowest heat setting possible to minimize damage to the strands.

Exercise:

  • Sweating between attachments could cause matting, so like when you wash your hair, make sure you brush through the attachments to keep them separate after exercise.

About Knotting And Shedding

  • Because these hair extensions are made from real human hair, they may tangle just like your own hair and may tangle slightly with your natural hair while you are wearing them. If this happens we recommend brushing to detangle the hair starting from the bottom (ends) in small sections and working your way up to the top. Do not pull your hair, spray some extension-specific non-oily conditioner, and comb it with a wide-toothed comb or hand carefully, and do not rush, take your time. When you found your hair fell out a little bit. Do not be scared, a little shedding is normal when you comb and wear your human hair extensions.

Regularly Go For Follow-Ups To Maintain Your Hair Extensions

  • Follow-up appointments are very important if you want to ensure that your hair extensions remain secure and look their best. So book regular appointments with your professional stylist every six to eight weeks to keep your hair extensions looking flawless.
